What the Best Carpet Cleaners in Atlanta Have in Common

You won't find a ranked list of companies on this page. A ranking can't tell you who will be standing in your living room, or what happens if the clean falls short. What I can give you is the checklist I would use myself, and the one we hold ourselves to on every visit.

The short version
  • The best companies send their own trained, insured employees, never a crew hired for the day.
  • They write the price down before any work starts, and that figure is the invoice.
  • Their guarantee says exactly what happens if you aren't happy, and using it costs you nothing.
  • Their reviews are easy to find, easy to check and answered by a real person.
  • They can explain their method plainly and give you a real drying time.

1. The person at your door works for the company

This sits at the top for a reason. When a company sends its own employee, it trains that person, insures them and answers for their work. When it sends a subcontractor, the person in your home may never have met the people you spoke to on the phone.

How to check: ask, "Will the technician be your employee?" and listen for a plain yes. Then ask who you would call if something went wrong a week later.

Our answer: the technicians we send are LocalPro employees, every one, trained and insured.

2. The price is written down before anything starts

A fair price is one you see in full, on paper, before the first room is touched, and it doesn't grow afterward unless you add something. Starting prices on a website are useful for comparing companies, but the written total at your door is the number that counts.

How to check: ask to see the total on paper before any cleaning begins, and ask point-blank if it could change once the technician sees the carpet.

Our answer: the technician writes your price down during the first walk-through, and that is the amount on your invoice. Three rooms start at $109 for up to 450 square feet, and every other starting price is on our pricing page.

3. The guarantee has real terms

"Satisfaction guaranteed" costs nothing to print. A real guarantee spells out what happens when you aren't satisfied, and what happens if the second try still falls short.

How to check: ask the company to describe its guarantee in a sentence or two. If the answer is vague, so is the guarantee.

Our answer: a clean you aren't happy with gets redone free, and if that still isn't right, you owe nothing. Should a spot resurface after we leave, it gets another visit at no charge, and our pet treatment comes with a 100% pet odor removal guarantee.

4. Reviews you can check for yourself

Reviews are the closest you can get to talking with a company's past customers, as long as you read them like evidence. Look for recent reviews with specifics, and for replies from the company that sound like a person wrote them.

How to check: read some of the lower-rated reviews and see how the company answered. A calm, specific reply that offers to fix the problem is a good sign.

Our answer: our reviews are public on Google, with 1,764 reviews across our 4 Atlanta-area profiles.

5. A method they can explain, and an honest drying time

A good company can describe its method in plain words and give you an honest drying time. Carpet that gets steam cleaned can take hours to dry. We use a low-moisture process that loosens the soil and lets absorbent cleaning pads carry it away, so the carpet is dry in about an hour and nothing sticky stays behind.

That matters twice over. Fast drying gives you your home back the same afternoon, and when no soap is left in the fibers, the clean typically lasts about three times longer. Our comparison of the two cleaning methods goes deeper.

6. Care inside your home

The best technicians treat your house like it matters, because it does. That shows up in small things: a walk through the rooms before anything starts, light furniture moved and put right, big pieces worked around with care, and one more walk-through when the cleaning is done, where you decide whether the job is finished.

Our answer: you and the technician walk the rooms together before anything starts and again before they leave. Chairs and side tables get moved so the carpet beneath them is cleaned, and the heavy pieces are cleaned around.

What "best" doesn't mean

  • The lowest coupon. A low starting price is only a good deal if the written total stays low.
  • The biggest ad or the top search result. Those tell you about a marketing budget. They say nothing about the person who will clean your carpet.
  • The longest list of services. Ask about the one you need, and how they do it.
  • The most reviews. Volume matters less than what the reviews actually say.

Hold us to it

I wrote this checklist knowing you might use it on us, and I hope you do. Ask our office about anything on this page before you book, and if we ever fall short of a line here, I want to hear about it.

You can book in a minute on our scheduling page, and we confirm every booking with you before the day. Or call or text 678-270-1555, any hour of the day. For the questions worth asking any company, see our guide to choosing a carpet cleaner.

Questions about finding a good carpet cleaner

Does the carpet cleaner with the most Google reviews do the best work?

Not necessarily. A big review count mostly tells you a company has been busy for a while. The content tells you more: recent reviews that describe the technician, the walk-through and how a problem was handled. Read a few of the lower-rated ones as well, because how a company answers a complaint says a lot about how it will treat you.

How can I tell whether carpet cleaning reviews are genuine?

Look for detail. Real customers tend to mention specific rooms, stains, pets or the person who came, and their reviews are spread out over months, not bunched into a single week. Check that the company replies in its own words rather than pasting the same line every time. On Google you can usually tap a reviewer's name and see what else they have reviewed, which helps too.

Is a franchise or a family-owned carpet cleaner the better choice?

Either can do excellent work, so judge the company in front of you; the label tells you very little. Put the same questions to both: who will come, what the written price covers and what follows if the result disappoints you. LocalPro has been family-owned since 2014, and we like that the people who answer for the work are close to it, but the checklist matters more than the business model.

What should a real carpet cleaning guarantee include?

Plain answers to two questions: what happens if you are not satisfied, and what happens if the second try still falls short. With ours, an unsatisfying clean gets redone at no charge, and if the redo still isn't right, you owe nothing. Stains that creep back later earn a return visit, and our pet odor treatment carries its own 100% guarantee.

Why doesn't LocalPro publish a ranking of Atlanta carpet cleaners?

Because we could not do it fairly. We have never seen another company's work from inside its customers' homes, and a list written by a competitor would be marketing dressed up as advice. What we can offer is the checklist on this page, which works on any company, including us. A company that meets it is a good choice, whatever its name.

Satisfaction guaranteed on every visit.
